ENVSN X Powerthread w/ Emilia Musacchia

Emila Musacchia is a an artist living in Brooklyn. She told us about her love of art and nature, and the importance of being kind to everyone. This story was submitted in collaboration with ENVSN.

What did you study in school and why?

I studied Visual and Critical Studies at the School Of Visual Arts! I am a practicing artist and really wanted to learn more about how I can fully communicate my work.

Where do you live today?

I live in Greenpoint BK!

What is your job/career?

I am currently the Product Curator at BUBBLE Goods!

What is a challenge you have faced or currently face and how are you overcoming it?

I am currently struggling to balance the pressure of having all the new things (constantly being sold something which then results in constantly buying stuff I don’t need) and saving money for my future. I am still learning how to overcome it and save money!

What does it mean for you to be powerful?

I think power comes from within. It takes a lot to be powerful and I am still not there yet, but I am grateful for all the love I have around me and with that I will become powerful one day at a time!

Do you have a favorite product or item you love that makes you feel great?

I loveeee a great pair of jeans where the bum looks great!

What are your passions, hobbies, interests?

I have a greenhouse in my apartment so  I love spending time there and gardening, and I love cooking. The perfect day would be gardening, cooking a nice meal and eating in the greenhouse!

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Love one another and be nice to everyone! Whether that be the person who cleans the floors or the person signing your checks.
