Jonet Williamson is from New Orleans, LA. She attended LSU and studied Pre-med. Today she lives in New York City and works at a makeup artist. To Jonet, power is self confidence and truly being yourself.

What did you study in school and why?

I attended LSU and studied Pre-med. At the time, I wanted to become a doctor and had always loved science and math. During my 3rd year in pre-med is when I discovered my passion for makeup.

What is your job/career?

I’m a professional makeup artist and male groomer. I primarily work on commercial campaigns and television sets. I’m also a micro beauty influencer.

What is a challenge you have faced or currently face and how are you overcoming it?

One challenge that I find myself facing is that there are not enough hours in a day. I wear so many hats that sometimes it gets overwhelming. Meditation and exercise has really helped to balance out anxious feelings.

What does it mean for you to be powerful?

For me, being powerful means to be self confident and to truly believe that you are deserving.

Do you have a favorite product or item you love that makes you feel great?

It can be clothing, soap, socks, or anything. One of my favorite products that I can’t live without would have to be my lip balm. I own a few different brands but its the one item I use the most which gives me comfort.

What are your passions, hobbies, interests?

My passion is helping women to feel beautiful and see the power they possess. My hobbies include reading books (mainly poetry & self empowerment), listening to neo-soul with a little New Orleans bounce sprinkled in, working out, and meditating.
